Gardens, Facilities & Fishing 

 

Greenbanks is set amidst approximately 8 acres of meadows, containing a bog garden, a wild flower walk and fishing lakes.

Our gardens are always spectacular with bright coloured shrubs and wonderful foliage. They lead through a rose arch to the steps which take you to the main lake.

 

Our fishing is second to none - we have two private fishing lakes which are well stocked with Roach, Rudd, Tench, Common Carp (up to 14lbs.), Mirrors, Wildies, Ghosties and Crucians including some superb 'fan-tailed' Crucian specimens. Locally to the hotel there are many other fisheries, some boasting 30-40lb Carp, also fantastic 'winter Pike and Chub', all of which are a day ticket and cost about £3-£5. As a resident, fishing at Greenbanks is free. Only a short drive away are the famous Broads and the Wensum which provide great Chub, Barbel and Bream.

We have built two large fishing platforms to accommodate our disabled guests. These are praised by guests for position, comfort and peace of mind.

All in all a great place to come relax and enjoy some fishing.
