Greenbanks is a small Country hotel near Swaffham, Dereham and Norwich, conveniently located in the heart of Norfolk. It was built around 1702 as an Inn, and has been magnificently renovated to maintain its original charm and character, both in the restaurant and overnight suites.


Greenbanks won QUEEN's award for 'Sustainable Development', which was presented by Her Majesty the Queen to the proprieter Mrs. Jenny Lock, at Buckingham Palace.

Greenbanks is set amidst 8 acres of meadows, with wild flower walks and private fishing lakes, so offers peace, comfort and relaxation to painters and bird lovers.

The luxury accommodation is all en-suite and provides colour T.V, radio alarm clocks and full beverage trays. Keys are provided for guests to return to their rooms at anytime.

Greenbanks also has 5 groundfloor double / treble / four bed suites which have easy access for ALL, and can accommodate wheelchairs.

We have a superb restaurant using the finest fresh local speciality produce. This enables us to prepare special dishes for guests with diet allergies ( vegetarian / VEGAN / non-dairy / high fibre / no sugar ).
